What were your initial reactions to the film?
That the movie was most likely staged, but as the movie went on I noticed that it was real (or appeared to be).
2) What is the role of photography in this film?
It help the children in the film escape the reality of their life.
3) What are the changes in the children’s outlook and personalities when they are taken out of the brothel to the beach and the zoo?
They are happier and act more like living beings (they show more emotions and talk more).
4) If these children were taken out of the brothel environment permanently, do you think that they could fully recover from the injustices and trauma that they have previously faced? Why? Why not?
They could depending on how bad their child hood was living in the brothel.
5) Zana is not just documenting these children with her film, but she is enabling them to document what they see around them. What opportunity does this provide for them?
It gives them the opportunity to be resourceful. Now when they see a strong message in their area (most likely a bad one) they can capture it, and share it with the world.
